PROJECT: The race car drivers Rubinho Barrichello and Tony Kanaan created Instituto Barrichello Kanaan (IBK), focusing on supporting children, young adults and the elderly who are in need and in a vulnerable social situation. IBK started by supporting Projeto Sol and Casa do Zezinho, which have benefited two thousand children in need. The concern for education and children’s upbringing is constant for the institute. It is located in the neighborhood of Brooklin in São Paulo.

“The idea is to establish partnerships with other institutes and offer technical and financial support to programs from small to medium organizations promoting the rescuing of the family unit”, explains Christian Bartz, general director of the new NGO.
