G5 blindagens supports IBK
G5 Blindagens, a Brazilian bulletproofing company, is the first supporter of Instituto Barrichello Kanaan, founded by the race car drivers Rubens Barrichello, a Formula 1 driver, and Tony Kanaan, a IRL driver, to provide technical and financial support for programs focusing on children, young adults, and the elderly who are in need in Brazil.
The organization had already started a project with Projeto Sol and Casa do Zezinho, located in the outskirts of the south sector of São Paulo. Together they benefit more than 2 thousand children and young adults with sporting, cultural, social, educational and leisure activities. With the support of G5, IBK will be able to assist a greater number of non-governmental organizations (NGO’s).
“I like to be around projects like this one and I already knew the drivers. They have a great performance on the tracks and now they will also have a good performance in the third sector. With the partnership, I believe that we will help make the lives of those who are most in need much better”, says André Giaffone, president-director of G5.
The director of IBK, Christian Bartz, claims that the sponsor engages in an active way in this type of partnership: “We invite them and others who are interested to visit the programs which we provide support so that they can personally confirm how it is possible not only to do social assistance work, but also to give the less fortunate favorable conditions so they will be able to walk on their own two feet”.
